The congregation of Memorial Presbyterian Church is a
multi-faceted group of people who live and work in the Assumption
area. The church has a strong nucleus of young families
complemented by an active class of middle aged couples and older
church members.
The only multicultural component is present through the children
at Kemmerer Children’s Home located three miles outside
Assumption.
The members of the church work at myriad occupations. They are
farmers, teachers, accountants, small business owners, agri-business
workers, nurses, law enforcement officers, social service
executives, construction workers, housewives, and students. Many
of the families are lifetime residents of the community and take a
great deal of pride in their home and church. |
